New Competitive Season at Folkestone Camera Club

Date Published

The competitive season at the Club started with a bumper entry. We enjoyed some 80 projected images, an Open Category and our first Themed Competition which was ‘Delicate’ and it was judged by the very competent Sue Chapman.

The above three images all were awarded 20 points and in her opinion were excellent interpretations of 'Delicate'

Sue a member of Ashford Photographic Society is a Accredited Judge with the Kent County Photographic Association, and is herself a highly experienced and creative photographer. Her comments on the images were constructive, helpful and encouraging.  This is the way we think, at FCC, that, we learn to improve our images by viewing the work of others and by hearing critique of our own images and that of others.

We viewed a diverse range of images, and we had members entering for the first time. Showcased below, are the '20 Pointers' in the Open Catagory, and more entries can be viewde on the Results Gallery on the Website.

The Programme can also be viewed to see what's coming up over the next few weeks. Next week we have the Judging of the Phonography Comp, and also Sue Dixon will be sharing some of her secrets about how she creates her beautiful pastel images.  Not to be missed.

Non members welcome on the door, entrance only £3 including tea, coffee and biscuits.
