It’s taken at a small drainage pond near where I live. I waited for an hour or 2 and several dragonflys got used to me being there and came close enough to image. It’s taken at about f8 / 200mm but with a fairly low shutter speed (for insects) of 1/500ish, to capture some movement in the wings, hence why they blend into the background, whilst keep as much as possible of the body sharp.
