This is the mono PDI and open print competition for the year.

Unfortunately, our judge Rachel Cox has unexpectedly become unavailable for the Mono and Print competition on this date; we're currently working with her to reschedule and will put the new date on the programme.

Competition Theme 3 – Curves

1. Battle preparation
   1. Fay will present a video that she and Alan made while visiting Hermanus.
   2. Eight images for the battle have already been chosen; members will help whittle a further 20 down to 12 to make our 20-image entry.
2. Time allowing following the selection
   • Nick will give a talk on some of his Photoshopped images.
   • Discussion on Nick's outing to the London museums.

This is the cutoff date for entries to Yellow and/or Blue and Open competitions.

Two competitions in one evening, two entries allowed in each

• Phone
• All images must have been taken and edited (if required) on a phone.
• Resizing for entry (but not cropping) may be performed on a computer or other device.
• Creative
• All images must have an obviously creative aspect, either at the taking stage or in post editing.

Due to uncertainty regarding the rail strikes, we have decided to move this to later in the season, date and time TBA.

There will be a trip to London at some point in February, more details nearer the time. Nick Blundell in charge.

The suggestion is to go to the museums in South Kensington, the Royal Albert Hall is also in the vicinity. It is hoped that this trip can coincide with the National Geographic photo exhibition which is generally at this time of the year. No doubt there will also be an opportunity for lunch built into the itinerary also.

This is quite ambitious for our new timeslot on Tuesday afternoons. Meetings will be up to an hour and a half, to fit in with the 2-hour on-street parking restriction.

• Bring-an-Image: bring either a print or a digital image on USB stick for member discussion; it can be new or one from your archives, maybe a bit of controversy!
• KCPA Diamond Jubilee selection: discuss 20 images curated by the selection committee and agree upon the final eight images for entry into this competition. For more details, see...

It is with regret that we have decided not to hold the Christmas Do. A number of members are away on that date and, with the weather being somewhat ominous at present, we would not have used the library and had an in-person event. Bryan had planned an activity, but it proved unfeasible when tested over Zoom.

We wish you a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing you at the next programme event or WhatsApp meet-up.
